Chino Montessori's 2017 Trike-A-Thon

On April 28, 2017, Dillon DiLivers Love and Chino Montessori School hosted the second annual Trike-A- Thon. Weeks before the event, pledge sheets were sent home with the children where family and friends were encouraged to sponsor their students and help him/her win prizes for this great cause! Students had a surprise visit from Firefighters from fire station 67 and learned bike and road safety rules to help keep them safe all year! Students proudly showed their prized bikes and trikes as they excitedly demonstrated their skills! With two bike raffles, photo booth picture souveniers, and prizes for our participants, it proved to be a special, memorable day for children and parents alike!

In this single event alone, a small school community of less than 150 children raised almost $4,000 for our 2017 "Back to School Bag Pack Drive." Back to school can be an exciting time for children and their parents but it can also be expensive and overwhelming. It is no secret that families with a chronically ill family member can be consumed by the demands of the cost of school materials, taking care of their loved one, as well as other members of their family. With that in mind, the funds raised during the Trike-A-Thon event will be used to purchase bag packs filled with age appropriate school items for children waiting on the transplant waiting list and care kits for the parents who often put their own needs aside caring for their children. In this way, we can bring joy and make a difference in the lives of others and show them that there is love and hope all around them.

THANK YOU for your support!

What an amazing honor it is to serve others along with you.

Chino Montessori School 2016 Trike-A-Thon!

April is National Donate Life Month and what better way to kick off this special month than to commemorate it by spending time with some of the youngest members of our community! We were blessed to have been invited to host a very exciting event with a very special school and have yet another opportunity to raise awareness on organ donation. To help us in our mission to register more donors, Chino Montessori School graciously invited Dillon DiLivers Love to host the pre school's annual Trike-A-Thon on Friday, April 15. All week, students were encouraged to ask for pledges from family and friends for their efforts in riding their trikes to raise funds to support the work of Dillon DiLivers Love. In turn, students will had the opportunity to earn cool prizes for their efforts in participating. We had some fun activities planned for the young students; even raffling off two brand new bicycles! Who says giving back can't be fun, too? To say we were excited to see the support and belief from our community is an understatement as we even had some parents and teachers reach out after reading about Dillon's story and decided to become a registered organ donor! The amazing faculty members were a huge help as they were all in to teaching students how to have fun and stay healthy while the Firefighters in Fire Station 7 joined us and talked to the students about helmet and bike safety. All week leading up to the Trike-A-Thon, Chino Montessori was buzzing! Thank you so much to all who supported the children and this special day. Together we are going to further knowledge on organ donation  and "diliver" love to those waiting for their second chance at life. We are beyond grateful for the support from our community and so blessed to be part of this special day!

April is National Donate Life Month! To start, isn't it such a beautiful coincidence that Donate Life's colors are blue and green; the same colors that represent Dillon DiLivers Love? Is that cool or what? To inspire more registrants and  honor all registered organ donors, we'll be sharing inspiring stories of lives touched by organ donation and the hope it brings all month long! Follow us on Facebook and see what we're doing in the community, learn and get inspired!

Dillon DiLivers Love's First Christmas Project

Thanks to everyone who supported us in our first ever Christmas Project, Dillon DiLivers Love was able to purchase toys and personal care kit items for transplant waiting list adults and children who will celebrate the holiday season in the hospital. Even our daughter, Harlow got into the spirit by volunteering to give 3 of her presents to the foundation to make children in the hospital smile this Christmas! There is so much love! Thank you for having such big hearts and  thinking of these courageous individuals who are battling one of the biggest challenges of their lives. We could not continue to carry out out our mission without your continued support, love and thoughtfulness to our very special friends.  Together, we will continue to work hand in hand to make an impact in our communities and spread awareness, give hope and "DiLiver" love.

October 24, 2015 Superhero Day & Last Cruise & Car Show of the Year at Grandma Pucci's

Wow!! We did it!!! What an incredible event! THANK YOU for making the last Cruise & Car Show of the year such a terrific SUCCESS! At the Dillon DiLivers Love headquarters, we pieced together hand made superhero masks, made goody bags and planned for weeks for a fun, exciting day for the community. This Cruise & Car Show was unlike any other event we had done in the past because it was also a celebration of life! Many children (as well as the young at heart) came dressed as their favorite superhero ready for a day of action.

With the photo booth's bright flash snapping away and the balloon artist and face painter busy at work, the night rolled on without a hitch with Iron Man making a special appearance! The folks at Grandma Pucci's Homemade Ice Cream even made a special ice cream calling it simply, "Dillon's." On this special day, we remembered all the individuals waiting for a life saving organ and all the superheroes- the individuals who saved others by giving the priceless gift of life by becoming an organ donor.

Dillon DiLivers Love would like to thank John Pucci of Grandma Pucci's Homemade Ice Cream for donating 20% of sales from every Cruise and Car Show event to Dillon DiLivers Love and for the opportunity to launch our foundation. Thank you for your belief in our mission and for the opportunity to reach out to the community about our work.

To our October Car Show sponsors  Tasha Hines from Dulce Treats, Nicolle from Cookie Me That and Shirley Rances- thank you for creating special hand made treats for our raffle! Your belief in our mission and your loving contribution truly helps us keep going.

Thank you to all who took time out of their busy schedules to join us in this memorable event!        It is people like you who BELIEVE in our mission; who champion us on and help us continue our work. We are BEYOND grateful and blessed for your support!

September 26, 2015 Cruise & Car Show

What an an amazing weekend we had! Besides the fun of discovering new flavors of ice cream, the Fall Cruise and Car Show began late in the afternoon so it was much cooler. So, when the sun went down- the fun went up! Once again, we had some of the finest classic cars in our community show up to be admired and judged. Thanks to Grandma Pucci's, we were able to share our inspiration behind Dillon DiLivers Love and give vital information about organ donation. As always, at the end of the show, we held our raffle and gave out some awesome prizes to 8 lucky winners!  Thanks to all of our supporters, we raised some much needed funds for our deserving families. Thank you all for coming and showing your support! Our supporters make it possible for us to help others. See you all on October 24th for our biggest and final car show of the year!

It was late August when we stumbled upon the story of this little warrior fighting for his life. One year old Cillian Jacoby is currently waiting for a liver transplant. The first child of Paul and Tiffany Jacoby was born with biliary atresia; the rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants and affects 1 in every 15,000 live births. The cause is not completely understood and there is no cure- only treatment. "Cilly Monster," as he is lovingly called by his family is currently on status 1B which is the highest status a chronically ill waiting list patient can have. There have been a number of  offers but so far, none have been a match. As Cillian desperately waits for a liver match, his family tries to raise money to help pay for their living and Cillian's medical expenses including the liver transplant we are all praying for. When we learned that Cillian's father was the only one working as his mother, stays by his side at the hospital, we knew we just had to do something to help this young family. On Saturday, September 12, Dillon DiLivers Love hosted a yard sale from 6 am to 11:30 am to raise money for Cillian's family. The night before, we were up until 2am making our signs as big, bright and attractive as we could only to wake up two and a half hours later to set up! We were determined to make our signs as visible as possible to have a successful event. Well, in just over 5 hours, our  humble little yard sale proved to be a success! We raised almost $500 all to benefit this sweet angel and his family! Please pray for this sweet little boy and his family as we wait and pray for his life saving liver transplant.
